Biscuit Barrel by L & Sons, Hanley England. Antique 1906-20 Ceramic Silver Plate L & Sons 1906-20, formerly Lancaster & Sons, made good quality Ceramic pieces in Hanley Staffs. This biscuit barrel has a silver plated top and lid, see hallmark. There is a little crazing as expected for antique pottery but no chips or cracks. It is in excellent condition for its age. It would have been made by hand and carries reference 108, indicating the batch/design number of the item.
