Description
Nightingales and Bells; HMV 78rpm Shellac The first outside broadcast ever made by the British Broadcasting Company from a natural location was the Nightingale broadcast of 19 May 1924, in which the world-famous virtuoso cellist Beatrice Harrison performed a ‘duet’ with nightingales in her garden. From this came this 10” HMV Shellac record catalogue No B2853 “Songs my Mother Taught me” and “A Summer Night Idyll” The record comes in a strong cardboard sleeve.
